The Gluten-Free Expo Mobile App

The multi-events app of TheEventsApp platform was the right fit to the Expo’s needs.

Business Challenge

The Gluten Free Expo is Canada’s largest gluten free event. Whether you’re looking for great tasting products, or Gluten Free education, the Expo is your source! The client was faced with the challenge of providing an easy way to guide the attendees at the expo. The EventsApp platform was the ideal solution for the client.

TheAppLabb’s Solution

TheAppLabb developed a multi-event app for the client using TheEventsApp platform, for events in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton. The app enabled the users to view a schedule of events, an interactive map of the location of the expo, a list of exhibitors and supporters of the Expo. Users could also obtain e-Coupons via the app to use at booths at the expo. The app also featured a detailed floor map of the expo and users could buy tickets to the expo from the app.

The app features social media integration with Facebook and Twitter and users could invite their friends to the event. Users can also subscribe to the Gluten Free Expo newsletter to receive updates through e-mail. Included within the app is a recipe guide as well as a product guide which feature gluten free products. The app also has an offline mode for offline viewing and can use the user’s location to customize content shown within the app

The app saved users a lot of time getting around the expo by providing easy access to the schedule of events and the floor map.  Discounts at nearby booths were easy to find for the attendees. The app fostered better communication among the event participants. In addition, the app saved time and money for the event organizers by cutting down on printing costs, making the event environmentally friendly. Further, increased awareness of various booths at the expo resulted in a higher turnout.
