The Challenge
The Buro team came to TheAppLabb looking to build a next-generation online marketplace that is mobile-powered, seamless in user experience, powerful in peer-to-peer features with secure payment processing engines and all that had to be translated into easy-to-use and intuitive user interfaces. Buro had to incorporate some powerful marketplace features like:
Finding: Buro app provides users with the ability to browse through a large inventory of items available for rent.
Booking: The app allows users to schedule rental of stuff for short or long-term periods.
Returning: The app facilitates the return of rented items through a convenient interface.
Making Money: Buro allows users to make money for the stuff they rent out to others allowing monetization of the service.
Overall, this was meant to be a mobile-first marketplace innovation that would make renting the new buying for most everyday use stuff.
The Solution
TheAppLabb created a safe, seamless, and convenient app for users of BURO which can be used on the go through its introduced mobile platform. The app is integrated with a 5-point verification system as well to ensure all activity is human and not robots. Additionally, the app includes a chat for users to communicate with each other and item viewing is an easy process.
The Impact We Made
The BURO app assisted the company in launching a mobile-first marketplace that competes directly with established marketplaces. The ease of use, utility and superior customer experience, as evidenced by a 4.9 rating on the iOS App Store, shows that users find it useful to go green, save money, and de-clutter their space with a convenient stuff rental on-demand mobile app. TheAppLabb remains engaged with the company to continuously improve the app and its features.
